  • The Welcoming Event, proudly supported by the SJSU Division of Student Affairs, SJSU Career Center, and BRAVEN, was a pivotal gathering for engineers of all levels who attended Black Engineer Week.
  • Held on June 16th from 8:30 am to 10 am at the Dr. Martin Luther King Library on the SJSU campus, the event served as the official welcome to an exciting week ahead.
  • Its primary purpose was to help engineers of color prepare themselves for the forthcoming conference events, empowering them to effectively tell their stories in a way that paved the path for professional advancement.
  • By bringing together a diverse and talented group of individuals, the event set the stage for a week of inspiration, education, and networking opportunities that fueled career growth and success.

GOLF SOCIAL EVENT

Black Engineer Week attendees were in for an unforgettable experience in conjunction with the BGS. It was a dynamic event that welcomed all participants to the Spartan Golf Complex, and it wasn't just any ordinary welcome event; it was a journey into the world of networking, fun, and golf.

HIKING SOCIAL EVENT

The hiking event provides an informal setting for Black professionals to socialize and broaden their network. The 4 mile hike will take place at The Rancho San Antonio County Park at Cupertino.
